Xavier Le Pichon, Hilaire Legros et l’Institut de physique du Globe de Strasbourg
Résumé
In 1968, Xavier Le Pichon gave a conference at the Institut de physique du Globe de Strasbourg (IPGS) in which he described how he became one of the founders of Plate tectonics. The republication of this little-known testimony gives in addition the opportubity to pay also hommage to Hilaire Legros, another noteworthy figure of IPGS.
En 1968, Xavier Le Pichon donna une conférence à l'Institut de physique du Globe de Strasbourg (IPGS) dans laquelle il décrivit comment il un des fondateurs de la tectonique des plaques. La republication de ce témoignage peu connu donne par ailleurs l'occasion de rendre également hommage à Hilaire Legros, une autre figure marquante de l’IPGS.
