              <p>In this communication, we give a method to determine the energy bounds obtained by the dual potential formulations. We show that the energy bound depends on the type of sources of excitation (current density, prescribed mmf or flux) and also that for a certain sources configurations non conclusion can be drawn. This result is illustrated on an example.</p>
