Inhibition of anodic dissolution of zinc by tetrabutylammonium bromide in ZnCl2-NH4Cl electrolyte

Résumé

The impedance of a zinc electrode has been measured in the absence of any mass transport effects with the use of a rotating disc electrode. Thus, it has been confirmed tht ZnIads is a likely intermediate of dissolution. Also, NBu4Br has been shown to inhibit zinc dissolution indirectly by enhancing the inhibiting effect of adsorbates previously present on the electrode surface.
