Comparison of sine wave and white noise analysis for electrochemical impedance measurements

Résumé

The trade-off between measurement time and error for electrochemical impedance measurements is analysed for the cases of harmonic analysis using sine waves as the perturbation signal and of spectral analysis using white noise as the perturbation signal. Various types of measurement are reviewed for harmonic analysis: constant integration time at each frequency, and same number of integration periods at each frequency.
