Determination of the uncertainty on the specific absorption rate using the stochastic collocation method and the FDTD.
Résumé
The stochastic collocation method associated to the FDTD method enables to determine the evolution of output parameters uncertainties, corresponding to one given input parameter uncertainty, after a reduced number of simulations. It is shown that for the application to the homogeneous model of a human head, 5 to 10 iterations were sufficient to evaluate uncertainties of output parameters like the SAR or the absorbed power for the case in which the input parameter uncertainty is the angle of the incident plane wave. This number of iteration is weaker than the number required when using the Monte Carlo method.
