Caractérisation des mécanismes de diffusion par une parcelle de forêt en mode bistatique dans la bande de fréquences 100-400 MHz
Abstract
In this paper, we propose an electromagnetic scattering model for forested area based on the volumetric integral representation of the electric field. The integral equation is solved by using a method of moments (MoM).This model gives us, at any point, all the components of the electric scattered field in terms of amplitude and phase. It is also able to extract the contribution of each type of scatterers (trunks and branches) and to separate the contributions of the various scattering mechanisms. Here, we examine the interaction of a forest environment with a plane wave of arbitrary polarization in the frequency band 100-400 MHz (VHF and P). Our model can be used for many useful applications as assessing the efficiency of approximate models, studying the electromagnetic coupling between the elements of the forest, analysis of scattering mechanisms.
