تخطيط العصور الوسطى بالكامل تقريبًا. ومع ذلك، فإن القراءة الدقيقة للمصادر العربية والأوروبية الرئيسية مع
تحليل مختلف الخرائط والوثائق المتوفرة في الأرشيف الإسباني والفرنسي تمكن من تسليط الضوء على التغييرات في
التنظيم الفضائي للمدينة والعثور على موضع مباني القرون الوسطى الأكثر رمزية وتطور المدينة على مر القرون
Rich in a long and eventful history under powers of different cultures and traditions, the city of Oran retains little evidence of its medieval or modern spatial organisation. The development of a more recent or even contemporary urbanism has almost completely erased the medieval layout. However, a precise reading of the main Arab and European sources, together with an analysis of the various maps and representations available in the Spanish and French archives, make it possible to highlight the changes or permanences in the spatial organisation of the city and to find, with a historical stratigraphy, the location of the most emblematic medieval buildings and the development of the city over the centuries.
Riche d’une longue histoire mouvementée sous des pouvoirs de culture et de traditions différentes, la ville d’Oran conserve peu de témoins de son organisation spatiale médiévale ou d’époque moderne. Le développement d’un urbanisme plus récent voire contemporain a effacé presque totalement la disposition médiévale. Toutefois, une lecture précise des principales sources arabes et européennes jointe à une analyse des différents cartes et représentations disponibles dans les archives espagnoles et françaises permettent de mettre en lumière les changements ou des permanences dans l’organisation spatiale de la ville et de retrouver, avec une stratigraphie historique, l’emplacement d’édifices médiévaux les plus emblématiques et le développement de la ville au long des siècles.
