Résumé
Les Formes du visible is an anthropological study of figuration. Descola interrogates the images, as he had done before with the verbal representations about the continuities and discontinuities of the human and the non-human, to prove the relevance of his ontological theory in different cultures of the planet. Images are understood as products of figuration, a doubly significant process that articulates sign and agency [agency].
