Application of electrochemical impedance analysis to the characterization of mass transfer in a submerged impinging jet cell

Résumé

To perform electrochemical measurements in flowing electrolytes it is necessary to control carefully the flow profile in the vicinity of the electrode surface. For this purpose, the rotating disk electrode (RDE) is the most commonly used set-up. Actually, the electrode is uniformly accessible with respect to mass transfer and the exact solution under laminar flow conditions was derived by Levich.
