Self consistent determination of the structure and resistivity of liquid aluminium and tin

Résumé

The electrical resistivity ϱ derived from Ziman's relation and the structure factor a(q) are consistently determined for Al and Sn from the non-local model potential of Shaw. We mainly consider the influence of the depletion hole charge distribution whose effect becomes more important in going from the light metal to the heavier metal. The results agree reasonably well with the experiment.
